First Contact

Call 523-9500 (Oahu) or 877-523-9503 (toll-free) to sign up for one of our Orientation Sessions or go to this link to see our schedule and sign up. . An online orientation is available on this website.

Orientation Session

Learn more about the Center and our programs so you can decide if we are a good fit for you. You can see our orientation schedule and sign up for one here. Complete an Intake Form, submit your required documents, and pay an installment of your membership fee to proceed with services.

Homeownership
Assessment

A Homeownership Coach will review your income, credit report, and assets to determine your “Mortgage Readiness.”

Initial Homeownership Coaching Session

Our first meeting with your Homeownership Coach to review his/her assessment findings and begin developing an action plan to help you reach your goal. Until further notice, all meetings with your Homeownership Coach will be by phone.

Home Buyer's Education

9-hours of classes taught by a nationally accredited Homebuyer Education Instructor. Part I covers financial fitness in the context of qualifying for home financing (budgeting, saving, and understanding credit) and Part II reviews getting a mortgage and the home buying process.

Homebuyer Education Class Instruction Options:

Webinar with a Live instructor via Zoom (Internet Access Required) – included in $60 lifetime membership

• Parts 1A, 1B, 2A, 2B, & 2C
• Unlimited follow-up coaching

Self-Paced Online via Framework (Internet Access Required) – $75 lifetime membership & Framework fee (for online education)
• Course is broken up into seven modules followed by short quizzes (Self-Navigated & Self-Paced Online Learning)
• Unlimited follow-up coaching
• Attending sessions in addition to Framework - no charge

Subsequent Coaching Sessions

Addresses individual obstacles to homeownership in a one-on-one setting. Your coach will also refer you to assistance programs if you are eligible.

Mortgage Ready

Obstacles to homeownership have been overcome and you know how much you can afford to pay a month for a mortgage. It's time to get prequalified or pre-approved for a mortgage.

Find a Buyer’s Agent

Now that you’ve determined your affordable mortgage payment and confirmed you can qualify for the corresponding loan amount, it’s time to find your buyer’s agent.

House Hunting

Work with your buyer's agent to find the right house and make an offer to purchase that home.

Mortgage Application

Complete a mortgage application with the lender of your choice when your purchase offer is accepted. Your Homeownership Coach is available to help you understand your options and the overall process.

Close of Escrow

Documents are signed, funds are disbursed, and you are given the keys to your home. Congratulations!

Post-Purchase Services

Educational offerings are offered to ensure your success as a homeowner. Your Homeownership Coach is also available as needed.
